Choosing the right person for the job!
Now that you have determined a home inspection is the right way to go, you need to make the decision of who to use.
As of right now Colorado does not regulate home inspectors, which means someone you pick may not even have any training or certification. Do your homework!
The inspector you choose should have accreditations from a school or training program, not just a membership in an organization. However, it is assuring for them to follow standards of practice. It should not be all their only source of knowledge -it only means they have paid their dues. They should be very familiar with the entire home building process top to bottom!
